About Riptide
Northern Virginia’s premier 7-piece classic rock band:
We are best known for our tight vocal harmonies and musicianship, although we have five singers in the band, we have one lead male vocalist and one lead female vocalist.
Our band comprises two guitars, bass, keyboards, and drums. The band members come from a variety of backgrounds, a few having served our country in the armed services.
Riptide has been performing for over 9 years, playing at festivals, private parties, bars and homes. Home-based in the Fairfax area of Northern Virginia, we’ve performed at venues in all areas of Virginia and in Maryland.
Riptide covers a wide spectrum of music from the 50's to the 90's that engages the crowd and plays the songs that you know and love. Specializing in variety, we know how to adjust the energy level depending on the situation.
Venues played include Rocky Gap Casino, Potomac Nationals Stadium, Fredericksburg's Market Square Summer Concert Series, Burke Summer Series, Village Brauhaus, The Electric Palm, Backyard Grille, Fairfax Fall Festival.
